Hammer Marketing won a 2023 American Advertising Silver ADDY®  Award earlier this year for our work on the Chester County Food Bank website redesign and we’re ecstatic about it. (See photo below for proof) The ceremony, held at the Roxy Theatre in Northampton, was a fun-filled, music centered blast where our team hung out with friends from other agencies.

While our team has won more than 50 ADDY Awards over the years, this one feels extra special because it recognizes our design work for an organization that gives back to the surrounding communities. Chester County Food Bank is a non-profit organization that provides food to people in need, so having a website that helps them reach a wider audience is truly essential.

The goals of the food bank’s new site included delivering a lot of content without overwhelming users, serve as an educational tool for people interested in learning more, and helping visitors find fresh food locally. While food insecurity is a serious topic, our team also wanted to incorporate the fun that the folks at CCFB inject into everything they do.

“We added some fun animations, interesting factoids, illustrations and animations on the homepage to grab users’ attention,” says Kyle Huntzinger, Senior Web Designer.

It feels great to know that the new website will better serve those in need.”
